ManoMotion Showcases SaferHands at IndX Product Day 2025

ManoMotion was selected to present at IndX Product Innovation Day 2025, an event dedicated to shaping the future of industrial technology. Among a curated group of cutting-edge startups, we had the opportunity to demonstrate how our SaferHands safety solution is redefining industrial safety and human-machine interaction.

This year’s event was themed around building industrial efficiency, resilience, and the next generation of automation. With keynote insights from industry leaders like Toyota (emphasizing zero accidents as part of their “Zero Muda” philosophy), Hitachi, Väderstad, and Husqvarna, the stage was perfectly set for a discussion on innovative safety and control technologies.

From Prototype to Production: Why ManoMotion is the Right Partner

A common theme in our discussions was how many research centers and companies begin their journey with hand and body tracking using open-source solutions like MediaPipe or hardware-dependent systems like UltraLeap. While excellent for initial prototyping, these tools often hit a wall when a unique vision requires deep customization, robust performance, and a clear path to commercialization. Ideas get stalled by technological limitations.

This is precisely where ManoMotion steps in. We offer unlimited possibilities through our highly customizable computer vision platform. Our extensive experience in both research and commercial deployment means we don’t just provide technology; we provide a partnership capable of turning ambitious ideas into market-ready, reliable solutions.

Presenting the SaferHands Solution

At the heart of our presentation was SaferHands, our predictive hand-tracking software for safety and our gesture control solution. We demonstrated how these technologies serve as a critical layer for industrial safety and enable touchless interactions by:

  • Enhancing Worker Safety: By tracking hand and body positioning in real-time, SaferHands can predict and prevent accidents by alerting operators when they enter dangerous zones or perform unsafe movements near machinery.
  • Enabling Intuitive Gesture Control: We showed how complex machinery can be controlled through simple, predefined gestures, allowing for hands-free operation and reducing the need for physical contact with interfaces—a key step towards “zero downtime” and “zero accidents.”
  • Retrofitting Existing Systems: A major focus was on how SaferHands can be integrated into current industrial setups, providing a cost-effective path to upgrade safety and capabilities without replacing entire systems.

Connecting with the Future of Industry

The event provided an invaluable platform to connect with and learn from other innovators. We deeply appreciate the insightful conversations with representatives from Toyota Material Handling, Husqvarna Group, Hitachi, Väderstad, and many others.

Discussing how Industrial Safety and Gesture Control can add value and enhance their existing capabilities was incredibly fruitful. The alignment between their goals for next-generation automation and our human-centric technology was clear, opening exciting avenues for future collaboration.

The day was officially opened by His Excellency Hideaki Mizukoshi, the Japanese Ambassador to Sweden, underscoring the international importance and collaborative spirit of the event.

A warm thank you to the entire IndX team, moderator Robin Eriksson, and all the brilliant companies who participated. Being part of this select group of innovators confirms the critical need and growing demand for the solutions we are building at ManoMotion.
