Publishing the app on the stores:

Google Play Console Accounts:

If you are an Android developer and want to publish AR apps on PlayStore, using your account on Google Play Console, Manomotion SDKs are a great starting point. With our different SDK´s we help you give the mobile AR application hand tracking functionality and gesture control. SDK Community edition is free. It helps you track hands in 2D and basic 3D and creates a virtual “box” around your hand and tracks its movements and gestures. By upgrading to Manomotion SDK PRO, you get more detailed information about the hand, such as skeleton tracking (27 DOF), advanced point of interaction support and more advanced 3D tracking and gesture capabilities.

Apple Developer Accounts:

If you are an iOS developer and want to publish apps to the App store with mobile AR functionality, Manomotion SDKs are a great starting point.

For both iOS and Android you can use the Unity-based AR Foundation kit for Manomotion.

Unity

ManoMotion SDK can be deployed into iOS and Android devices seamlessly. This is done through a Unity package which is compatible with AR Foundations, the developer decides whether to use it or not. Unity is a cross-platform game engine and one of the most used tools to create 3D applications such as AR experiences among many others.

Developing AR experiences with Unity has never been easier before. It does not matter if you are starting a new project from scratch or you want to integrate ManoMotion’s SDK, Unity will allow you to import and integrate our technology with few clicks. Once the SDK is imported, you will only need to map the actions of your AR experience with the events triggered by ManoMotion SDK.

AR Ecosystem and how does the ManoMotion SDK relate to other AR development solutions?

Today, thanks to the AR ecosystem, spatial interaction and AR are highly related to the real life experiences of humans in the physical space where direct control and manipulation of the items with hands are crucial. Hand tracking and gesture control technologies are the next generation revolutionary interfaces to facilitate the interaction between humans and computers.

Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft and other mega players are driving different AR initiatives. Most notable for mobile devices are ARKit and ARCore. ARKit and ARCore provide capabilities to understand the environment including walls, planes, surfaces, sense the different depth levels existing in the environment and even generate object segmentation including the hand. This technology is known as positional tracking or SLAM. Unity provides a cross-platform API that allows developers to build cross-platform AR applications with a library known as AR Foundations, unifying the deployment of both technologies at the same time into the different platforms using one common API.

ML (machine learning) is a central part in most AR solutions. Google provides a cross-platform, customizable ML solution for live and streaming media – the Google MediaPipe (open source framework). Google MediaPipe offers basic face detection and object tracking, including hand tracking to some extent (among many other capabilities) but also requires you to download, adapt, and support the source code yourself. Unlike MediaPipe the ManoMotion SDK is a ready-made product that is 100% focused on tracking the hand and what it is doing.

The ManoMotion SDK is a dedicated, robust and focused hand tracking and gesture control product. It gives a faster path to market for your AR app that needs to include hand tracking by providing:

  • An off the shelf product that does not require understanding, adapting and supporting your version of someone else’s open source project
  • A hand tracking and gesture control toolbox with all the necessary functionality
  • Supporting material, tutorials, examples, and a dedicated community
  • Support options, when buying the SDK Pro, with possibilities for customization
  • A product that is evolving fast with a technology roadmap, supported by an experienced team dedicated to build the best hand tracking technology on the market.
